What a wonderful wedding for Kaleb and Sloane. When I think of Kaleb and Sloane the first thing that comes to mind is “down to earth”. I have had the pleasure of knowing Kaleb’s family for several years now, starting with his brother Evan’s wedding. And they are all just the nicest people; true Lewis County salt of the earth kind of people! And Sloane is the same way. They are fun, easy going and would give a friend the shirt off their back. It has been my pleasure getting to spend time with this great newly married couple and their whole family.
Sloane chose a beautiful soft color pallet of pink, grey, tan and rose gold for her wedding. And it looked lovely! I love neutrals with a pop of color, they just seem to go with everything. It is classy and yet modern with the rose gold accents. Her flowers by Lisk’s florist from Glenfield were ivory, white, soft pink and peachy pink roses with accent flowers. The girls pink flowers looked great against their grey dresses.
Kaleb and Sloane chose the Thousand Islands Harbor Hotel as their wedding location. What a great spot! It is one of my favorites. It has a little bit of everything; great grounds, the water, large dance floor and provides a beautiful background for the wedding ceremony. My favorite part of this particular wedding was that Kaleb got to ride to the Harbor Hotel on a boat making a grand entrance. And.. even better… we got to use the boat for photos! I love the portraits of Kaleb and Sloane on the dock and in the boat they are so sweet and the soft blue water looks great with their wedding colors.
Another fun detail was that the whole bridal party wore grey converse sneakers. See, I told you they were fun! I can image that Sloane was far more comfortable in those than in high heels. Plus it really allowed her to tear up the dance floor in style too!
We even caught a fantastic summer sunset at the end of the night. I love it when that happens! And when you’re at the river it is even better as the sun reflects off the water. I was so happy with all the portraits we got with the sunset in the background. I think Kaleb and Sloane will have lots of great photos to remember their wonderful wedding by.
