Fall Country Church Wedding in Madrid NY {Flint & King}Fall Country Church Wedding in Madrid NY {Flint & King} Potsdam Based Photographer: Natalie’s Studio| Full Wedding Wow, what a beautiful wedding day for Laurie and Jeremy! I have been so blessed to be a part of many big moments in the King family. In fact, I got to photograph Laurie when she was a high school senior and now as a beautiful bride. My very first senior to bride client! It has truly been my pleasure to take part in this wonderful family’s special events. And through this event, I got to meet Jeremy. He is such a nice guy; smart, polite, and easy going. My favorite part of Jeremy is his smile while he is with Laurie. I found myself just smiling as I edited their wedding photos. It was contagious. My cheeks started to hurt, and I realized I was just smiling so much as I relived their wedding day through there photos. I hope the same will be true for you. They had a beautiful wedding at Laurie’s parents house in Madrid NY. It was a perfect sunny September day for them. Laurie got ready at the house and Jeremy and his men got ready at the Brandy Brook Lodge nearby. They decided on a First Look at the Lodge as well. The ceremony was at the Scotch Presbyterian Church. Matt Bull, who is Laurie’s brother-in-law, was the officiate. I personally love when family or friends officiate weddings, I think it gives another meaningful element to the ceremony. And Matt did a great job. Laurie’s bridesmaids wore pink dresses in various styles for each lady. And they had sunflowers, white roses and red carnations in their bouquets done by Waddington Blooms. Laurie’s bouquet was white hydrangeas with pink lilies. There was a piece of her grandmother’s dress tying with a lace rose tying her flowers together. The tent reception behind the house was full of adorable details. One of my favorites was they used the previous generations wedding photographs as the display for the seating arrangements. I loved seeing those. Also, Laurie’s family has a lot of connections with dairy farming. To honor that, they had an ice cream machine and ice cream bar for dessert and King’s Milk available to drink (I must have had at least 3 chocolate ones, they are my favorite.) Also, they chose cheesecakes in leu of traditional sponge cake. I loved that idea. I agree with Laurie and Jeremy, cheesecake is better than traditional cake. The cheesecakes were done by Main Street Perc. It was a wonderful day full of love and fun. The reception was a blast, and The Party Squad did a great job with the music. They have been to many of the familes weddings, and we got a photo with them and all of the couples who have had them play at there weddings. I am just so happy for Laurie and Jeremy. They are a perfect fit. It is so clear that they love each other and support each other. Sara’s is Laurie’s oldest sister and Matron of Honor. She noted during her speech that Jeremy loves Laurie exactly the way she is. That is one of the things that is so wonderful to find in a companion. And I am so happy for the two of them.
