What a perfect wedding for Carrie and Steve! I have had an absolute blast working with this wonderful couple. Not only are they super smart and fun to be around, they are also very down to earth and easy going. Steve is a photographer himself and loves to create artistic images of nature. It is always fun to have something in common with a groom and get to connect with them too. When Steve isn’t taking artistic photos he can be found taking plenty of awesome selfie’s with Carrie to document all of their fantastic adventures.
When they aren’t at their jobs in Quincy Massachusetts they are traveling the world the best way possible… by getting out in nature.
Carrie and Steve are avid hikers and adventures. Carrie’s family also has a cabin in the Adirondacks where she summered as a child. This made the Adirondacks a PERFECT place for Carrie and Steve to tie the knot.
Their ceremony was held at the historic Big Moose Chapel… (which is actually quite small despite its name. LOL, the town name is Big Moose). This quintessential Adirondack chapel is nestled into the woods in Big Moose NY and has all the features of a ADK building. The arched beams were made from trees that were actually found in the woods like that!
Being that Steve is an avid photographer, Carrie and Steve gave me lots of time to create beautiful wedding photography for them. We were lucky to have so many beautiful locations right around the chapel to use. (And we only had to dodge a few quick rain drops.) Carrie and Steve did their First Look at the dock behind Big Moose Chapel. This was one of Carrie’s wedding wishes as a child. Well actually… I think she wanted to get married on a dock when she was a kid but at least she got the first look there. (And something was said about lots of cheese as a wedding wish of Carrie’s also … now that is a girl after my own heart!)
After the bridal party photos by the water, Carrie, Steve and I used the beautiful natural surrounding for some more couples photos. I even found and amazing rock and trail arch hidden across the road. We had fun with some fall leaf photos over there.
I could just keep gushing over how great this couple is and how perfect their wedding day was for them. And although the wedding was perfect; what is more important, is they are going to have an amazing marriage. The wedding is just the beginning! It is clear to see when you are with Carrie and Steve that they have an honest and deep kind of love that will last a lifetime. I am SOOOO happy I was able to get to know Carrie and Steve and be part of the beginning of the journey into marriage.
