Purple and Green Newborn Baby Girl PhotographyPurple and Green Newborn Baby Girl Photo Shoot Potsdam Based Photographer: Natalie’s Studio| Newborn & Family Photography What a GORGOUS newborn baby girl photo session! Mom, Liz came to me early to plan newborn photos for her second baby girl, Elliana Faith. She chose purple and green as a color pallet with a subtle butterfly theme. And would you believe I didn’t have any purple props! Seriously, that is my favorite color…looked like and excuse to go shopping ;-). With the help of my dear friend Richelle, we put together 3 brand new newborn sets to perfectly match Ellie’s colors and theme. It couldn’t have turned out any better. We cut out paper butterflies to create a custom background that was both classy and whimsical. And we used a variety of flowers in plum, lavender, purple, periwinkle and blue to create a forest inspired bed for baby Ellie. If you have unique ideas it pays off to plan ahead of time. I love making custom sets, they just take a little planning and sometimes some shopping. We also had the great opportunity to photograph big sister Avery who just turned 2! She was such a sweetheart and even entertained us with a little kiss for Ellie providing one of my newest favorite images. Plus we were able to do some special family photos with Avery; a great bonus for her birthday. A big thank you to Amanda, Andrew, Richelle and Gregg who all teamed up and helped with the session. Whether they were “baby wrangling” older children, making sure mom and dad looked great or wrapping Ellie in a sweet little bundle, everyone was a great help. That’s another great tip… bring helpers to your newborn session, extra hands are often helpful and ensure safety for a newborn photo shoot.
