Their wedding was at Shana’s father’s home on the water in Chaumont NY. Shana and Mike exchanged their vows on the deck overlooking the water. Their peaceful home provided a casual environment for family and friends to witness their union. And everyone took part in a fun celebration after their ceremony. Shana chose rose gold, pinks and greys as a color pallet for the wedding and it looked beautiful! The girl’s rosy pink lace dresses went perfectly with the boy’s grey tuxes. And Shana’s dress was a beautiful champagne lace. Shana’s flowers were wooden! I love that idea because then you get to keep them after the wedding. And Mike’s bountineer had leaves that were pages from a book to give it a vintage flare. There were several highlights to their wedding celebration; one was the addition of the VW bus “Penny” from Snapshots photo booth. While in the planning process Shana and Mike expressed that they wanted a laid back atmosphere for everyone to have a good time. And that is exactly how it all turned out. They served craft beers, had a live band and a photo booth. But not just any photo booth; “Penny” (that’s her name) is a retro VW bus that has been outfitted by Snapshots photo booth company to be a vintage photo booth! She comes complete with props in the trunk and is beautifully decorated to match the event. Not only did “Penny” provide tons of entertainment, she also gave us a great background for portraits that matched Shana and Mikes retro fun style perfectly. The craft beers also became a prop for our bridal party photos since Shana and Mike had gifted their friends customized mugs. So we had a lot of cheers and fun while taking the bridal party photos. Shana’s dad, being very musically inclined serenaded her with a special song at the reception. And later that night Mike surprised her with a drum solo too. It was such a FUN day. Everyone was just having a fantastic time and enjoying the live music, good beer and great company. Congratulations to Shana and Mike! We wanted to make sure Mike has something personal he could add to the portraits as well. So we had a special session with his Harley Davidson at the end of the night.
