Madrid NY Country WeddingMadrid NY Country Tent Wedding I have to say this wedding was near and dear to my heart. I was so honored and happy to be able to be part of it and give this fantastic couple and wonderful family, beautiful wedding images. I have known Sara since high school when we met through the St. Lawrence Co Dairy Princess Program. She is a smart and driven young lady and I always enjoy her company. Matt happened to be my brother's best friend and college roommate in AGR at Cornell University. He is just such a fun loving person and so much fun to be around, I think he can make anyone laugh. The fact that the two of them got together made me so happy. You couldn't ask for a better match. Please take a look a all the photos and read the little blurbs between! Matt and Sara's wedding was perfect to me... especially since they chose my favorite as the wedding color. :) Sara chose lavender and dark purple dresses with ivory and purple flowers for the girls. Willow Tree Florist in Potsdam NY did a great job with the flowers. And the tent (from Hurlbut’s) was beautifully decorated with purple flowers, milk crates, burlap, chalk boards, mason jars and more. It was a team effort from family and friends! They even made a custom bar with photos from their Sara and Matt’s childhood. And Laura Sharpe was there to help make the day of the wedding go smooth with her decorating services. It just turned out beautiful!
Another highlight of the wedding day was the Vintage Dairy Truck. The King’s had a replica truck that matched their family dairy truck from Colebrook Dairy. It was one of the many highlights of the day and was used in a lot of the photos. Matt even got to drive it up to Sara for their First Look. I just love custom touches on a wedding day that make it even more meaningful.
And I must say both Matt and Sara come from wonderful farm families. The Bull and King families are hardworking, honest, hospitable and just down right wonderful people. They put family first, and I admire that. It is so rewarding to photograph a wedding where you know some of the history and relationships; it just gives it an even deeper meaning.
The ceremony was very sweet and there were many tears. I loved how they also had Matt’s pastor from his home church bless the couple. It was meaningful and beautiful.
The reception was held at the King family farm in Madrid NY. It was a perfect setting for a relaxed and fun celebration. The party went long into the night. And the everyone also enjoyed the Photo Booth from Natalie's Studio.
